The Traveling Yogi-
Maintaining your practice while traveling can be really hard! For me, I found that if I could find the time in the early morning to squeeze in a few sun salutations and balancing poses, my mind felt more ready to take on the day.
Often times when we are traveling, we are eating foods that we are not accustomed to and taking in little sleep while en route to our destinations. We can feel sluggish and easily exhausted. A daily practice of yoga while traveling, will help to regulate your digestive tract and help you raise your level of pranic energy so you feel refreshed and are able to get the most out of your travels! Many brands make travel yoga mats, however I traveled just fine with my Jade mat. I checked it on the the way to my destination and on the way home I carried it on. The Jade mats can be folded and carried in your carry on. Mine bounced back to its original state immediately after I unfolded it.
